Non-Elected Volunteers
Head Coach
- Assist LSC coaches as needed in developing their skills as a coach.
- Be an on-site presence at team practices and assist as requested.
- Respond in a timely manner to requests or questions from coaches.
- Assist in developing the techniques of LSC coaches required to run a successful practice and season.
- Be available as requested by LSC coaches or LSC Board to attend games and evaluate the sideline coaching decisions and or parent sideline behavior.
- End of season written report on number of practices, games etc. attended, along with recommendations on suggested improvements.
- Orientation for all new coaches; especially U7 & Kick & Chase.
- Provide links to additional coaching techniques - drill sheets, videos.
- Draft emails from coaches to players introducing the new season.
Field Coordinator - Inventories all practice fields assigned to LSC by PYSA thru PPR. This person coordinates the practice locations, days, and times for LSC and provides a complete club practice schedule.
Equipment Manager - Coordinates the purchase of all equipment necessary to carry on the seasonal functions of a soccer club. This person shall verify all uniforms orders with current vendor(s). This person will determine the quantity of all products purchased in support of team equipment for each age bracket. This person will maintain an inventory list so purchasing is done in a manner to eliminate waste and excess pricing. This person is responsible for putting together all equipment for distribution at the annual August kick off meeting.
Photo Coordinator - This person coordinates the one time photography of individuals and teams on a specific date, generally the first Sunday after the start of the season. This person shall contact the vendor, obtain all the necessary information and provide that information to all LSC teams at the annual coaches meeting in August. This person shall be in attendance to help coordinate and provide direction on the day the photographs are taken.
Team Coordinator - The team coordinator is responsible for assisting the registrar by contacting newly formed teams parents for volunteer head coaches. The registrar will provide to the Team Coordinator a list containing the names, email addresses and phone numbers of all the players assigned to a team. The Team Coordinator will contact those parents to solicit a volunteer to coach the team. Once a coach has been established the coordinator will provide the list of parent contacts to the coach so he/she can recruit an assistant coach and team parent.
Fundraising - This person shall coordinate efforts for all fundraising activities for Laurelhurst Soccer Club.
