Welcome to Laurelhurst Soccer Club

Volunteers Are Needed For Our Future

Laurelhurst Soccer Club will need volunteers to continue the excellence in our soccer program beginning in 2012. There is still a real need to find the right people dedicated to continuing the program for the kids who play soccer in our neighborhood. It is highly recommended for any one who in interested in becoming a board member to contact the President at lsc_president@comcast.net as soon as possible.

For 2012 LSC still needs the following volunteer positions to help our program:

  • Coach Coordinator
  • Photo Coordinator

Your participation is crucial to our continued excellent program. A job description for all our positions is available on the LSC website by clicking on the Volunteers tab.

Tip of the week - Coaches

Control: Trapping With Outside Of Foot
When you wish to bring a dropping ball under control, move off quickly to one side with it. Trap it with the outside of your foot. Say you want to move to the right: Crouching slightly, lean to the right and slope your right leg at about 45 degrees. Take the ball on the outside of your right foot, which should "give" a little to coax the ball gentle to the ground. Then, sweep it away to the right with your trapping foot. Keep your eyes on the ball.

Tip of the Week - Players

Remember to mark all of your players belongings. The coaches end up with a lot of gear at the end of practice and games.
